Tough Interview Questions

So far, we have talked about these kind of Interview Types -
1) Direct interview questions
2) Situational questions
3) Behavioral interview questions
4) Technical questions
5) Stress questions etc.
Now, unfortunately many of the interview questions are overlapping in these articles but anyway, we thought of putting a separate section for Tough Interview Questions.
So Here are some few tough questions (as per candidate experience) according to the category wise: -

Tough Direct Interview questions

1) How do you consider eligible for this position?
2) What specific interest made you to choose this field and why do you consider this as your career?
3) What are the uses of your project and what was the logic behind choosing it?
4) What makes a project attractive or an over night hit?
5) How many companies did you apply to other than this company? If yes why and if not why, be specific?

Tough Situational Interview Questions

1) You were working late for the project to complete all the week will you come to work on Sunday even when you have family commitments?
2) You are newly married and you have been assigned an overseas assignment for one year what will you do?
3) You need to fire your close friend from the job? How would you explain or present the situation (gravity of problem) to him? What are the chances that you would still be his friend? Can you take that hard decision?
4) You have been watching your project manager arriving late everyday because of which your work is getting delayed? What possibly will you do if you are present in that situation? Whom will you approach; will you break the hierarchy rule?
5) Are you ready to work for a company which has just crossed into profit zone last quarter? How best can you explain yourself?

Tough Behavioral Interview Questions

1) Explain us about a famous bug or glitch you found in your previous project? Take us step by step which you have approached the problem?
2) Do you give consideration to other people thoughts? If you did what was your own thought and the other team members thought?
3) Explain about a logic which you have come across the projects you have handled? What was the rationale behind it and what is the basis for that logic?
4) Tell us about your work environment do you consider working alone or do you consider working in a group? Why so?
5) Did you ever come into a conflict (of ideas) with your team members, project manager, superiors or professors? How did you handle it and explain it to them?

Tough Technical Interview Questions

These interview questions are relative in terms of toughness as for few, they will look very easy. Its needless to say, they are a very small part of tough technical questions. We will highly advice you to look at all the technical interview questions at the main Interview Questions Page.
1) Explain the key concepts of stored procedures?
2) Why should you consider working with C and not C++?
3) People say that object oriented programming has made programming tough? How and what programming language do you compare to arrive at that thought?
4) Explain the processes which are present in generating, transmitting and receiving of a message through internet? Which famous programming language is employed to solve that?
5) What are the various database additions (support) front end and backend you can add to Microsoft access which can improve the performance of MS Access?

Tough Stress Interview Questions

1) How do you handle stress? What is the best thin or work you do when you are stressed out?
2) You need to work a full whole one month because of quarter results nearby what reason will you give to exempt from the work?
3) Do you consider standing in a line as stressed work?
4) Define stress and when do you get stressed out?
5) You might have got stressed out in work area give us a specific situation and the way you overcame it? Do breaks during the work remove stress or a good sleep?
If you want to answer these questions then the best way to do this is to prepare about various projects you have handled and the work environment in general. Try to prepare for these questions before two to three days write them on a white sheet or notepad. Interviews are present to judge your caliber and to have a suitable candidate for their position. If you answer to the HR questions in an unprofessional manner then you will be having these tough questions probably. Never ever try to give him a false image it will trigger him to know more about you and the best way he can know is through flood of questions.
